I hope for Birmingham but fear it's going to be Miami. I feel like playing in Miami is a big, big mistake.

I wonder what the odds were when JerryWorld won the site of the first championship game that TCU would be in the mix?

It's the Miami Bowl that the players prefer. Fans have no right this season to have their preferred bowl of choice this season. If the University and kids want Miami so be it.

Not sure anyone has rights & I understand the sentiment but it would certainly help our university's image to have a lot of fans in the stands for a lot of reasons - same logic as why there was such a promotion to have good crowds for USF & UConn.

I want the team to go to whichever bowl the players want.

Much better for the city of Memphis and our local economy that 2 teams other than UofM play in LB.

I don't know if they have as much choice as in the past. The AAC owns the Miami Beach Bowl and they seem to want us there. I suppose that the players could say Nah, I want to go to Birmingham but I doubt it. Payout might be better too. It's just a little far for a lot of fans.

Except for the fact that what is good for the university is good for the city (and surrounding area). The several times that Bud Dudley ignored deserving Tiger football teams were important opportunities to advance this city's major comprehensive university in an important way.

Maybe so, but I don't know why. There will be two other conference co-champions, either of which would take more fans to Miami than we will.

The payout had better be a lot better due the big difference in travel expense for the team, coaches, band, etc.. For some strange reason, the Miami Beach Bowl has not disclosed the amount of payout.

Wherever we go, I'll be happy and will be there for the game.
