Truthfully, he's lucky he's not on the third team Tate had better stats overall than him.

And the Ball State kicker had a better year then both. Higher FG percentage and longer kicks.

If his offense wasn't scoring TD's and getting into the Red Zone. He would have to try more & longer FG kicks.

There were some problems early in the season with his new long snapper.

I think Hunt should have been the OPOY. He was not shut down in one game he played in and in my opinion was the most dominate player I saw in the MAC this year, by far. Franklin didn't do anything against Toledo and was partly responsible for the NIU loss by fumbling on the one yard line with a chance to go up 26-7. That fumble changed the game and NIU was able to turn it around and beat WMU. The two biggest games he came up flat. The only thing that kept Hunt back was a bad ankle.

But you have to give it to the guy who played all 12 games. It's not saying that Franklin is much better than Hunt, but it would be an insult if a guy who sat out three games won it over him. It's not a bad thing for Kareem. More motivation.
They both made first team which acknowledged that Kareem is a horse. You're in college for 4 years (sometimes three). Kareem will have a shot next year. Our line won't be as good, so we can see what he is made out of. Swanson, DJM, Remy, Hunt...all back to impose their will on the MAC.

What an honor for Mancz. We're sure going to miss those seniors.
