As I write this I'm disgusted, sickened and the pit of my stomach aches.

What has happened to the Blazer football program is indefensible. It's obvious what's happening and who's behind it.

We've had our differences in the past, but those were based in the brotherly context of competition. As a Tiger fan I'm aware of the bonds that tie UAB and Memphis together. Among others:
- We both try to succeed in states dominated by SEC programs.
- The late Gene Bartow was critical to our athletic endeavors.

I just want y'all to know that I hate what is happening. It's not right. Something should be done about it, but we're well aware that many times we simply have no voice. That usually happens when clandestine events are planned. When things are above board, we tend to have a say in the process and decision.

Not that it makes a difference nor eases your pain, but please know that there are MANY out there that aren't fooled, realize what's happening and are sympathetic to your plight. Unfortunately, UAB has been made the sacrificial lamb to appease a machine that doesn't care who it destroys, and people are beginning to understand the depths that machine (P5) is willing to go to eliminate as much competition as possible.
