Near impossible for this team to finish below .500 this year. 1-3 games over .500, even with what we have seen so far. I have the team at 18-15 with a loss to SFA.
We just lost to SF freaking A. At home. Nothing is impossible.
Have you looked at the schedule? In the season prediction thread I had us losing to Baylor, SFA & Bradley (among lots of others) & still had us winning 18 games. I have no confidence in JP to develop players or become a good floor coach at this point. Heck, I have substantially reduced my confidence in his ability to recruit players that can become a cohesive team, fit together, etc. But my opinions & views don't mean squat (like most everyone else here). The real question, again is, will this admin along with those that support the program with bigtime contributions say enough is enough after this season with 17-18 wins?

The amount of the buyout is one thing, the amount of hiring another coach is another thing, the amount they are going to HAVE to allocate for football is yet another thing. The only way all of these demands are going to be handled is if the Laurie/s take control of the basketball destiny (going to need another big check). The absolutely, positively money is for football. Not too many other horses in the barn right now.

And he's still with Johnny.
He was a hulluva coach at CBHS.
