That might be because there is nowhere decent to land. He's a complete tool.

We have burned the ships in the harbor, and are now moving this way.

Watts acted alone. Just like Oswald and Annette Funicello.

Why would the basketball team protest? It's not like Watts will be there to see it.

What would be the proper gesture, is if Morehead St. would get in on it. Both teams standing there 10 feet apart, looking at the basketball for 5 minutes.

If they were going to protest I think they would have done so by now.

Shame. They stood by and let the women do the fighting.

Which is going to be hard enough. Many probably havent heard of Morehead State, but they are a good team. They have beaten Marshall and lost by 8 to Cincinnati and 1 to UNLV. They are currently 4-5

RE: Protest from UAB Basketball
If the basketball team is going to protest, it may be best to wait for a game on national TV. There may not be many of those, I know, but surely a game or two will be picked up by ESPN2 or what have you.
I must admit, the damage done to UAB basketball hurts me as much as (and possibly even more than) the loss of football. That is, I supported football, but it's basketball that tugs at my heartstrings. I remember watching Mitchell and Mincy as a kid, when UAB was the Gonzaga of 1980s college hoops. To see how far the program has already fallen -- we shouldn't forget the loss of Mike Anderson in all of this! -- is just sad.

I want them to stand up for their brothers, sisters, university, and the spirit of the name that graces their arena. Sometimes making a statement and standing up for right is more important than victory in a game. I hope they take the court, sit down, and refuse to play. Won't happen, but such a show of solidarity with those who have been wronged would certainly attract attention and make a statement.

They will protest by missing over half of their shots and giving the other team the ball every third possession. They will also refuse to box out and rebound as a show of solidarity.

We only rival MLK Jr in this type of protesting
