Doubt a bowl invite would be accepted even if an offer were extended. What does Bryant & company have to gain from letting the UAB football team take the field again? Would be crazy for them to let the story drag out that long.

Never happen. It would be cool if it were offered, but it won't be.

But the BOT's puppet Watts turning down the invite would be a story in itself as well.

Most likely we won't get a bowl invite.

They just showed Tristan's speech on SportsCenter, and the anchor said we for sure would be invited because it's a great headline.

Every bowl that would consider taking a 6-6 team. Why the hell not? Might be the most watched non-Major bowl this year.

Every bowl that would consider taking a 6-6 team. Why the hell not? Might be the most watched non-Major bowl this year.

We will see. I hope we do get a bowl game, but I am not optimistic.

Because it would bring national attention and tv ratings. And I think Watts would have no choice but to let UAB play in a bowl game if invited. He would be crucified in the press if he didn't.

Lord...it is killing me to write this. This has been one of the hardest things for me to have ever written.

I would love to see OUR boys, in their green and gold on a football field one last time. Just once more. A last chance to watch OUR coaches, OUR band, OUR cheerleaders, OUR dancers, OUR team, out on a football field, win or lose. It does not matter where or when; just one more chance to sit in a stadium and watch OUR guys play one last game.

If we went to a bowl game, some other deserving group of young men would be left out. It would not be fair to them. But for them, play well and there will be a "next year". For US, there is no "next year". Is that really too much to ask?
