So Texas State will need a to land an "at large" slot to get a bowl based on that article. Sounds like they got passed over by the 3 Sunbelt bowls. Good luck to them--I hope they find a slot.

I figured it was gonna be a tough go.

We don't have the history (Cajuns, stAte) nor the location (USA) to help us. Given I figured stAte, USA, & us were roughly tied on the field... we didn't have that extra "umph" to help us.

Trough situation for Texas state
1. ULL to N.O was a given
2. GoDaddy enjoys it's relationship with Mobile. Mobile businesses likes how Astate Travels. The Godaddy bowl has pretty much made it clear if Astate is available they will pick them.
3. USA being from Alabama for the Camellia bowl helped. Both Texas state and USA have unknowns in how well they will travel. My advice travel at all cost..bring family even if they don't like the teams...The Numbers do Count.

Texas state you deserve a bowl.
