I haven't heard any comments from UC, but if I had to guess the explanation would go like this:

Because of our conference affiliation, ESPN has the rights to pretty much every premier game/conference game we play (and CBSSN gets a few scrap conference games). That leaves FSO with the non-conference scraps, which get alternate status if the Cavs or Blue Jackets are playing.

I don't understand why FSO can't show UC on the main channel in the Cincinnati market at least, but they choose not to or aren't able to which is frustrating.

I have Dish and I never have problem seeing Bearcats games.

The sports package costs me an extra $5 a month and I can cancel whenever.

If you don't like it switch your damn provider, it's not too difficult.

Wish I could. My oncologists aren't big on me being around the potential 13,176. I'd be at every game, as I was before my diagnosis. Walk a mile and look at the stupid FSOA fees then do a cost/benefit analysis, buddy.

Sorry to hear that, letharion. I wish you the best care.

I love these posts. Not everyone has these options. Not the no brained you think.

Apartment living?

I only make the original statement because I was very worried about switching from cable to a dish, but I am so happy that I did that I tell everyone they should. It is so much better than cable, not even close.

You are seriously wondering why the AD doesn't address that a few people can't watch a December home game against Stony Brook on TV? Tough crowd.

I don't have this problem as I have DirecTV. However, in this day and age, folks should be able to watch every game on TV. I haven't lived in the Cincinnati area in a long time, but I seem to remember Fox Sports Ohio showing Cincinnati games on the main channel even during Cavs and Blue Jackets games. Not sure why or when that changed, but I agree it should be addressed.

RE: FOX SPORTS OHIO BLACKOUT
If you can swing it, DirectTV is the best option to enable UC fans to watch as many games as possible. I have the CHOICE plan which gets me ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN News, ESPN U, CBS Sports and multiple variations of Fox Sports Ohio. I could have watched every football game at home and gotten all the basketball games that were on TV.

I switched from TWC earlier this year and couldn't be happier. I am paying much less for more stations. The similar plan at TWC would have run me another $45-50/month over what I am paying now for the first year. True, my bill is going up next year another $15/month, but I am still way ahead of what I was paying at TWC.

I also switched from TWC to DirecTV and agree. Unfortunately DirecTV still doesn't have WatchESPN, but I just use my mom's TWC login for that.

These games, that are supposed to be on the main FBO channel, get moved to a different channel, yes? One of the other games that was the case.

You get CBSS on Choice? I have Choice and that is the only one I don't have.

I switched to DirecTV several years ago, and love it. Stoney Brook in HD on Fox Cincinnati. 03-cloud9

Just checked and discovered I have XTRA not CHOICE. My wife was the one who set it up and normally pays the bill.

Still know it is a better rate than TWC.
