Sun Belt games scheduled with UAB
The Blazers also must pay for canceling future home-and-home series in 2015 and 2016 with Troy ($400,000), South Alabama ($300,000) and Georgia State ($300,000), which will cost UAB a total of $1 million to end.

Contractual obligations.

Does anyone let them off the hook?

We will all lose because we're going to have to figure out how to close some gaping holes in our schedules. Its probably going to cost us money and home games.

There's no way any of us should let them off the hook. Its not like it was UNO, who had to jettison some things as a result of a natural disaster. UAB's administration has plenty of money. They should pay.

We arnt going to lose money on it... Our AD has already had a plan in place and has schools lined up to fill the gaps... Announcement next week.

We will fill 2015 with a FCS team (this year we paid ACU less than 200k to come to Troy)
And in 2016 we will schedule a home and home with a program to be announced next week.

Worst we do is profit 200k most likely.
