NIU and BG should put UAB stickers on their helmets for the MACC. Just ridiculous what they're doing. Coming from Alabama-Tuscaloosa though, not that surprising.

Here would be a good opportunity for some school to get out of the MAC. Not sure CUSA is a huge step up...perhaps for bball it would be.

Sad, sad day. Feel really bad for the coaches, players, fans, students and everyone associated with that university and community.

CUSA has (recently) put more than 1 team into the Men's NCAA Tourney, unlike the MAC...

Head coach Clarke will have no problem getting a job after what he did there this year during all this garbage. Players will be free agents. Any good dbs?

Has this happened since the most recent round of realignment? Old Dominion, WKU, UAB, and UTEP all have had their moments in basketball, but has C-USA as currently construed produced multiple bids?

I could be wrong, but I don't think Marshall, MTSU, FAU, FIU, UTSA, North Texas, La Tech, Rice, and Southern Miss have done much in basketball. La Tech had a good team last year and Southern Miss has done decent with Eustachy as coach, but have any of these teams been to the Dance recently?

Lots of current C-USA basketball dead weight IMO. I suppose adding Akron or Ohio might help a bit, but I don't think C-USA would gain much from the MAC when it comes to hoops.

Senior TE at UAB goes off on the prez... I really hope that Fleck is looking at some of the players coming out of that program.

CUSA has a lot of dead weight as the Kolonel has pointed out. Money-wise, it'd be a bonus, but given the change-over effect, and the direction CUSA is (not) going, it would Not be worth it. It's something the Sun Belt would rather do in a mass migration like was done a while ago. Isolated team action? No.
