This has become a national story now. It is no longer a state issue or even regional, but this represents the power of social media.

And national media will be coming here for story leads.

and you know what? The vast majority of folks out there only want what is right. That's what is driving this thing. I'm proud of all of you! Hang in there!

When does ESPN start covering this? At some point they will have to because it's a big story now. It's busting at the seams but if it hits sportscenter, watch out.

This was outstanding work, B4L. You earned your scales today.

Up until now many of the larger media companies that have been covering this have framed it as a consequence of the "self-study" and not mentioned anything about the corruption, which is the heart of the problem. Some journalists have totally missed the point and written articles about this being a indicative of future things to come for the have-nots.

I really hope the national media can bring a spotlight to this and highlight the unfairness and corruption that is the key issue here. If the coverage fixates on what the actual issue is I think there will be a good chance of us being able to keep our football team. Who knows, with positive coverage maybe even pass some new Alabama legislation that will help to remove UAB and UAH from this corrupt system.

Knowledge is power & for the most part the national folks are lacking that knowledge in what the issue really is - that's the info we need to get out

Whomever the source of the decision was, I highly doubt they suspected this level of a reaction. It has truly blown up

I think we need a sticky with some of they key articles that can be used as secondary sources for journalist coming here to learn more about whats going on. Who knows maybe even a timeline would help.

I know there was a good CBS Sports Article about the Jimbo fisher hiring debacle that was well written and strong; I think that would be a great place to start.

We need a single webpage source to attach to #FreeUAB that has everything chronicled with links and make it easy to follow the crumbs on this story. news is so much about the now and they need an easy way to get verifiable information and the sources for credibility. I'm amazed and proud of this effort to organize our fan base and the UAB community. Can't let off the gas at all.
