Here is to hoping a good crowd on friday and a solid performance. I hope fans dont become complacent and stop making the trip just because its 5 in a row.

This is a real concern and I believe we are going to see maybe about 60% of last year's attendance this Friday. Not only because NIU is not playing for an Access Bowl this year, but once it gets hammered over and over in people's minds that winning MACC gives you the crappiest of crappy bowls, the motivation to attend gets low.

Agreed, it would be different if a win gave us a shot at a #4-5 in a P5 as the MAC champ every year.

actually, perhaps the fact that the bowl game will be crappy, will draw more people to the game. For example, last year I did not go to the MACC because I thought well if they won I would rather go to the big bowl game, but if they lose I wouldn't want to be there anyways. with kids and family obligations, iit's tough to do both

Hopefully the next step will be an increase in attendence with our more attractive home game opponents. With all the success, our season ticket holder base and butts in seats are the only thing lagging behind. Though most will argue because of the home game times/dates/opponents. I wish we only played 1 Mid week game at home and one away, with the rest on saturday.

Boise has been recognized as a top notch program for a long time so it‘s great to be thought of in the same way by the Troy AD. He's not the only one who sees us in that light.

Now we just need Boise's team to fall on their collective faces against Fresno, who it's still hard to root for.
