Oh I know why...just still amazed...in truth he is on that short list with Kevin White at WVU and Amari Cooper as the best WR in the Country.

Truthully, if he played the whole year, we might be talking about an 11-1 Louisville team vs a 9-3 one.

Regarding Parker, it's hard to put someone on the 1st team that was out for the first six games. I don't think many dispute he is likely to be 1 of the first 3 WR's taken in the draft but that's a different matter than conference all-teams.

How on Earth is Shaq Mason not 1st team All-ACC?
Nice to see Freeman, Gotsis, DJ White, PJ Davis, and Jamal Golden get the recognition they deserve for spearheading a surprisingly resurgent GT defense.

RE: All ACC Team...DeVante Parker 3rd Team WR...Really..smh..
I like DeVante Parker as much as I have liked any Louisville player in the last 10–15 years. He is a heck of a talent and I think it will be a very good player in the NFL.
However, Tyler Boyd is a special player who need not apologize for anything. Boyd is breaking all of Larry Fitzgerald's receiving records at Pitt and Fitz may be the best receiver I have ever seen play college football.
What is most remarkable is that Boyd has racked up some pretty spectacular numbers really without a quarterback and absolutely without anything resembling a secondary receiving option to lift coverage off him. He is getting bracketed and double teamed all game long every single week and he is still making impact plays week after week after week.
It has been ridiculous to watch at times.
A lot of the media's attention has been on James Conner and "The Terminator" has had a great year and there is no doubt about it. However, anyone who watches Pitt play regularly and who has any idea what he is talking about will tell you that the best player on that offense and indeed on that entire team is not Conner, it is Tyler Boyd and it is not even close.
Like Parker, Boyd will be a first round draft choice when he comes out – likely after next season.
Pitt has had some great players in recent seasons from Larry Fitzgerald to Shady McCoy to Darrelle Revis and last year's all everything DT Aaron Donald. All of those guys were phenomenal players at Pitt and all of those guys have gone on to or are starting on extremely successful pro careers. All of those guys are considered among the very best players at their position in the entire NFL.
I can tell you with absolute certainty that Boyd ranks right up there with all of the aforementioned players and that is saying a mouthful.
I pride myself on not being a homer and being a fair evaluator of talent. I just proved it a couple paragraphs above in my evaluation of Conner, who I think is a good player helped by being the feature back in a great system for power runners like Conner.
Boyd is a totally different animal. He is a great player who is probably hindered by this system but who is so talented that it doesn't matter as he still manages to consistently make you sit up in your seat and go, "Holy cow!" Barring injury, Tyler Boyd will be a superstar at the next level, I guarantee it.
I am also a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan and believe you me I dream of scenarios where we are able to pair Boyd with Antonio Brown. That would be one of the most ridiculously talented receiving tandems the NFL has ever seen. The problem for the Steelers is because we are so bad on defense, we need to spend about 10 first-round picks in a row a defensive players. Also, we never go 4-12. We always end up in that 8–8 or 9–7 range; and when you are always drafting in the middle of the first round, you don't typically get to pick players of Boyd's quality.

RE: All ACC Team...DeVante Parker 3rd Team WR...Really..smh..
I just took a few minutes to check out the ACC receiving stats. While he made the 1st team, Boyd was 3rd in WR voting. He is a special talent from what I saw this year and from individual stats alone, he should have been the leading WR in votes but we know he gets docked for being on a 6-6 team compared to a 12-0 team.
The voters didn't exactly go wild. They went strictly off receiving yardage and appeared to ignore TD's. The 1st team WR's were the #1-3 guys in total yardage, 2nd team was the #4-6 guys, and 3rd team was the #7-9 yardage guys.
While I won't lose any sleep over it, after looking further at the stats I take back what I said earlier to some extent. One could have voted Parker 1st team and backed it up relatively easily. That's how good he's been since he came back on Oct 18th. Tyler Boyd was the only WR in the league with appreciably better stats with 1,149 yards and 8 TD's. Greene and Crowder of course had more yardage with 7 more games played but were essentially equal with Parker in TD's. Consider this comparison:
Greene: 1st team WR on 5 TD's and 99 yds a game over 12 games
Crowder: 1st team WR on 6 TD's and 79 yds a game over 12 games
Parker: 3rd team WR on 5 TD's and 147 yds a game over 5 games
These sort of things mostly go by the book and they went strictly off yardage as a counting stat. Parker averaged 147 yards and 1 TD a game. No one else in the league averaged over 100 yards a game or more than .75 TD's a game. If Parker had even been healthy for 7 games instead of 5 at his pace his TD's and total yardage would have put him in the ACC top 3 even with everyone else playing 12 games.

Greene and Crowder are also each excellent football players. The ACC is LOADED at WR this year. I think all of those guys will make better than average pros.
