BG had nothing to play for the past two weeks, and now they do. And you never know which NIU team is going to show up each week. I wouldn't touch this game unless I had an addiction.

Me neither. MD said it too, it's hard to read too much into the last couple BG games. They will be up for this game so I'm sure it will be all that NIU can handle. Again.

Right? Betting lines are only that...to encourage the most betting. There is no right or wrong.

Well, to the bookies, the "right" line is one that gets equal action on both sides.

Totally disagree. In college football, every game is a big game, no matter what. I talked to the replay official at the BSU-BG game Sunday and Ball St. just brought it to them. BG played everyone who was healthy.

Don't hold your breath for that to happen this year. I love my Huskies but I have to face the fact that this year nothing about games this team has played could be called "complete".

Agree - no heart attacks - I want a comfortable 3 or 3 TD lead thru the whole game!

That would be wonderful, but I'm not counting on it. It's not the Ford Field way.

I would think it's the opposite actually. Some teams may have nothing at stake but relish playing the spoiler role. Anyways, coaches and players have stats to pad for personal reasons too.

Yeah...and I watched the whole game. BG pretty much ran the ball up the middle on every first and second down the whole game. It sure looked like a team that had no desire to win that game. Not taking anything away from Ball State and they didn't fold the tents when they were down early and played pretty well, but BG will be a much better team...if they're healthy. Several players were hurt in the Ball State game too...including nearly all their banged up running backs.

Has it been announced whether Knapke or Calloway is going to be starting at QB for BG?

I don't think anything officially has been announced...so that just means that nothing has changed and Knapke will start. I fully expect CallAway to play some though.
