Let me say I really hope the news isn't true and UAB supporters find a way to keep football. With that said I will add a few things about the future of CUSA. If the Big 12 doesn't get a team in the final four football playoff they will expand in order to have a championship game. They need two teams and some of the names out there are Boise St., Houston, Cincinnati and Memphis. If the Big 12 takes Boise St. then UTEP is gone to the MWC immediately. The problem with Boise St. is their academic standards do not fit with the Big 12. I am not sure the Big 12 wants another Texas school and they need a school closer to West Virginia so Cincinnati is a strong candidate. The ideal would be for the Big 12 to take Boise St. and Cincinnati. This would allow UTEP to move to the MWC and AAC could add UMass and CUSA could go to a 12 team league.
