As I said a few months ago, Big 12 expansion is not imminent. Many factors will determine future Big 12 expansion, none more importantly than market!

Two questions, isn't UCF a better candidate than Memphis and why should we be thankful that Strong is at Texas?

Simple answer is NO! If you talk to those at ESPN and the Big 12, they will clearly tell you Cincinnati are the best two candidates. Why? Well I could write for hours, however I will keep it simple.

Memphis to Cincinnati builds a bridge to West Virginia. A bridge to Memphis is very important to many within the Big 12.
Memphis is a stronger football market in terms of ratings than UCF. You can research this, this is not anything new!
UCF would be on an island, and the Big 12 will not do that again as they did with West Virginia, this is unanimous among the Conference Presidents.

Very smart guy.

No to 14 teams. But two on your map will get in. Don't know which two.

+ 12 For BIGXII Strat57.....and did you also realize that 5+7="[u]"> You guessed it XII

This is irony, ofcourse, But it's about time for Memphis to crescendo....Our airport is an International Hub, that has tremendous value, and Memphis is a Gr8 city but with an influx in revenue;fans; commerce and much needed employment. Memphis can blossum into one of the Gr8est "sportstowns" ever...Just as it was during the haydays of Negro League baseball...Memphis was a destination for all creeds in the south that loved sports;music/entertainment coupled with good ole Southern charm & hospitality...

One of the kickers is that ESPN does a pretty decent job of highlighting Memphis with gameday's & such.... One could only imagine what teams such as Oklahoma;OK State;Kansas; Baylor Texas would bring as they discovered Memphis. there is even so much history about America that a lot of people don't realize that could be learned in Memphis.... And isn't it true that one of the Oldest Catholic cathedrals is in Memphis????I could go on and on but this is truly a "win win" situation.....If it comes to fruition, it would be a blessing that I know the city a surrounding areas of Memphis would truly relish and welcome as well as hit a homerun to show that this was the best choice....

Your Florida dot is in Pensacola. Is the Big XII thinking about adding D2 University of West Florida or Pensacola Christian College?
