NMR: NE fires Pelini
we'd be dancing in the street if we had a 9 - 3 record including 5 - 3 in conference.

But noooooooooooooooo.... Nebraska still isn't happy.

Would like to see him in the MAC if any team has an opening (UB is open).

RE: NMR: NE fires Pelini
I'd love to have him coach in the MAC, but I find it unlikely. He made almost three million dollars this year, if he goes somewhere else it'll be a low level P5 or high G5 that'll be able to pay well. He's only 46, it's not like when Solich was about 60 when he was fired from Nebraska.

Nebraska is a place a coach goes to collect a big paycheck and I don't blame them. Good enough isn't good enough there.

Remember when he whined about Nebraska's fan base not supporting the team enough? How do you think he'd react to coaching a MAC program?

FWIW, he's a Youngstown-area native, if I'm not mistaken.

ETA: which might be a draw back to MAC-land.

ETA: or even to Youngstown itself.

RE: NMR: NE fires Pelini
Pelini would be a good addition to the MAC -- and a reasonable chance of it happening. So who needs a new coach?

MAC EAST:
- BGSU: Seemingly good coach - No Need
- Akron: They have a Bowden, will stay for a while at least
- Miami-OH: Good coach - No need
- UMass: Leaving the MAC; good coach; on their way up
- Ohio: They have Solich -- he ain't leaving
- Kent: Yes. Good D, bad O. They are changing OC. Would be a Possibility.
- BUFFALO: YES. Replace Interim HC with Pelini. Definite Possibility. But maybe Too Soon.

MAC WEST:
- NIU: No, Carey gets the job done
- Toledo: Not for 2015 -- but if Toledo breaks out next year -- Pelini taking over for 2016 season
- WMU: Nope, WMU's going to be RTB'n for a while with Fleck -- Maybe for the 2017 season, if Fleck's picked up after a good 2016 season
- CMU: QUITE POSSIBLE. Enos sucks.
- BSU: No, they got a good coach.
- EMU: No, they got a new coach.
