If total chaos happens
And Auburn wins tonight while GT, Wisky, Zona, and Mizzou win next week, who do you see as the top four?

They would take 4 SEC teams before they take an ACC team not named Florida State.
Hell they would take UGA over Georgia Tech (today's game doesn't count).

Bama may be the only team left ahead of GT comes Tuesday. I'm pretending for this exercise that the committee is actually fair and not fellating the SEC furiously.

RE: If total chaos happens
So with Bama winning tonight, the top 10 could look like:
1 Alabama
2 Oregon
3 Florida St
4 TCU
5 Ohio St
6 Baylor
7 Arizona
8 Michigan St
9 Wisconsin
10 Kansas St
Next week's chaos happens, it could potentially be:
1 TCU-Sugar
2 Arizona-Rose
3 Baylor-Rose
4 Wisconsin-Sugar
5 Alabama-Orange
6 Florida St-Peach
7 Ohio St-Fiesta
8 Oregon-Cotton
9 Michigan St-Orange
10 Missouri-Peach
16ish Kansas St-Cotton
18ish Boise- Fiesta

Wouldn't total chaos include a TCU and a Baylor loss?

Just how far do you think Miss State will fall and just how far do you think GT will rise?

Then, I think we'd just add a loss to everyone's record, swap Arizona for Oregon and Wisconsin for Ohio State and play on with:
Arizona/Florida St in the Rose
Wisconsin/Alabama in the Sugar
Probably would be where P12, B1G, FSU, and Bama would end up anyway, just in different color jerseys.

Missouri is the country's new favorite SEC team that isn't really even an SEC team. :)

RE: If total chaos happens
I like Michigan State and their coach a lot, but objectively speaking they should not be in any big bowl game this year.
They have only have three wins over above .500 FBS school. (Maryland (only one decent win (Iowa), Rutgers (pounded into the dust by every good BIG 10 team they played) and Nebraska in a home game they almost gagged away.)They lost to Ohio State at home.
Similar to Penn State, Michigan State had a pretty easy BIG 10 schedule set up and they blew it.
Of course, they could pull off a big win and depending on the opponent, I will most likely rooting for them to do just that!

RE: If total chaos happens
I like Michigan state making the playoffs if
1) missouri beats alabama
2) Ga tech beats FSU
3) KSU beats baylor
playoffs would be
TCU, Oregon, Ohio State, MSU
this assumes ducks, frogs and bucks win but you could argue for Missouri or Ga tech to get in instead of the spartans. Yet, MSU only losses would be to Ohio State and Oregon both playoff teams while Ga tech and missouri would have some cluster F loses even with the conference tittles. No way Fl State or Alabama could get in with the loss in the title games.

Be kind of humorous if Ducks and Tide lose. Probably the two best conferences and the two teams most people thought were the best most of the season would be left out.

Missouri is not getting into this year's playoff under any circumstances. They lost to Indiana at home. Inexcusable.
They are (deservedly) the lowest ranked 2-loss P5 team. The committee might even choose Boise before Missouri.

Hypothetically, what if all of the top 6 lose? You have only one team left with one loss (Florida St.) and 12 teams with 2 losses (Bama, Oregon, Ohio St., TCU, Baylor, Arizona, Michigan St., Mississippi St., Ga. Tech, Mizzou, Wisconsin and Kansas St.). Who do you pick from among these 13 schools? At that point, I think you take all conference champions (i.e., four from among Arizona, Missouri, Ga. Tech, Wisconsin and Kansas St.).
