RE: Bowl Watch 2014
Of the teams listed in the OP, I would think Tennessee, VT, Pitt, and Navy will all definitely fill bowl slots. I'm thinking Illinois would take the other one...

I'm hoping UAB can get a bowl game somehow. Not looking good for us right now.

I'm sure the BOT, Watts, and Mackin will be weighing in behind the scenes asking the bowl not to take UAB.

I don't think that will be the case unless someone with close ties to the coaching staff or AD Dept knows otherwise.

I realize this was Week 14, but if this actually happens, it would be insanely cool because UAB has a men's basketball game with the Tar Heels on the same day:

RE: Bowl Watch 2014
I counted 79 teams for 76 slots right now. (Sorry ODU, App St and Geo Southern)

Assume Temple and Ok St lose next week which is very possible if not probable.

The following 6-6 teams will be the candidates for the last spot.

Mid Tn St
UAB
USA
Ohio

Edit: since Fresno will be eligible even if they finish 6-7

RE: Bowl Watch 2014
We may have to pony up for tickets. last time we went to Hawaii we sold more tickets than the last two C-USA teams combined. That said it still was not very. Get ready to buy tickets even if you can't attend. Ticket sales may be our way in along with what Phil mentioned. Also Clark is well liked and people are sympathetic to our cause.

RE: Bowl Watch 2014
We should pick our spot then. We would contact the NOLA bowl, Armed Forces Bowl & the Boca Bowl and ask what their expectation level is for ticket purchases. Mackin should already have them on speed dial. So we need a volunteer to be our bowl ambassador ....maybe Herb Winches? I hear he and Brian have a good rapport..... 03-lmfao

I think DM, Watts, Herb, and Mackin should do a cage match. Proceeds to fund moving vans for watts and mackin.

Someone should do Mackin's job for him. God knows he quit working a long time ago.
