RE: ACC 4-0 against SEC Today
This is definitely a year to say congrats to the ACC. I think the 4-0 on rivalry week will help FSU's standing in the eyes of the committee, perhaps even to the point where a loss to GT doesn't completely knock them out of the playoff. I would love for more permanent rivalries to happen: lets make Vandy vs. Wake a permanent rivalry as well as VT vs. TN.

That being said, I think I can say fairly that I was not shocked by any of the results. GT over GA was surprising, but that Clemson beat USCe was not. Even Florida's close game and Kentucky's close game aren't out of the blue.

RE: ACC 4-0 against SEC Today
It was a good day. Next year the ACC faces the SEC at least 7 times. UofL opens with Auburn, Syracuse plays LSU and UNC decided they want a piece of South Carolina. That is at least 6 ACC teams playing the SEC during the regular season.
We ain't scarred.

Well yeah....neither are we, that's why we scheduled the games.

ACC and SEC are natural partners for eachother and should do lots of games together. I enjoyed our last series with Clemson and look forward to playing them again in the near future.

Depending on what Bowl we land, we could face 3 SEC teams in a row!

SEC apologists abound in this thread.

If FSU/ACC "apologists" can be called out in other threads all season, the opposite can happen now.

The Big East was 29-25 all-time against the SEC.

The Big East was a better football conference than people like to admit, even after the departure of Miami and Virginia Tech.

22. Louisville beat 5-7 Kentucky at home by 4
Ranked Clemson whipped an mediocre SCAR team
3. FSU edged an average Gators squad.

Not very impressive.

However, the Yellow Jackets win over the Bulldogs in Athens is very impressive and notable.

Wah wah.

Look, everyone knows the top of any P5 can beat the bottom of any other P5. These matchups were, heavily skewed in favor of the ACC. In terms of conference standings they were:

ACC #1 FSU versus SEC #8 Florida
ACC #2 Georgia Tech versus SEC #4 Georgia
ACC#4 Louisville vs SEC #12 Kentucky
ACC #3 Clemson vs SEC #11 South Carolina

In other words, it was the BEST four ACC schools against SEC opponents that averaged about 9th in the SEC, with 3 of the 4 games at home for the ACC.

And three of them could have gone either way. Not a very great achievement. 07-coffee3

I don't disagree. I don't think anyone but ESPN is trying to make the SEC out to be anything more than what they are. Now, come Bowl time, we should see how each conference ranks.
