Nope... couldn't possibly happen. The ACC is by far the worst P5 conference and the $EC should be their own division in the NFL!!!!

Don't worry. Equivocation will follow. Likely Mimi to opine "Nothing to see, the matchups favored the other conference, and head to head results really don't mean much."

Beat me to it Saluki.

The SEC is the best conference probably, but, it's a lot closer this year than in the past. Oh, and if Auburn beats Alabama, the SEC may get shut out of the playoff.

I personally want that to happen just to speed up the 8 team playoff.

BTW, watched TCU quite a few times and they are legit. I wouldn't have any problem putting $100 on them in a neutral site game vs. anyone in college football.

I like them too. Not sure how Kansas stayed within 4 points of them though.

Maybe Fuente was coaching them on a tryout.

Heh ... Fuente can do better; I hope he's here next year, but anyone paying attention has to see that the guy is a stud. Hell, if I'm Michigan, I'm calling him.

The Nebraska job just opened up too.

RE: So the ACC just dropped the SEC 4-0 today.
To be fair...

The top four teams in the ACC beat teams 4, 8, 10 and 13.

The top team in the ACC, playing at home, barely survived an unbanked and very down Florida, the 8 in the SEC.

The 4th best team in the ACC, Louisville, playing at home, barely beat the 13th SEC team KY.
Clemson, ACC 3 finally beat SEC 10, SC...also at home. 6-6 SC.

2 GTech beating 4 Georgia in overtime was a nice win.

So we now know...the 1234 teams in the ACC are marginally better than the 4 8 10 and 13 teams in the SEC.

Florida is talented, most talented team in the east. There was nearly 100 points scored in the iron bowl, the SEC isn't what it used to be. They are far from unbeatable these days. The trend to the spread is killing what made the sec dominant. Bama could win it all but I wouldn't bet on it.

Correct.

But NO ONE has claimed the SEC schools were unbeatable or that other schools were not very good in their own right.

Just a very simple and demonstrably evident fact that there are more good teams playing in the SEC. None of which cannot lose to a Winston or an Oregon or whoever.

Ha! Thank u for this! I was wanting to research it but was too lazy. I'll use it as amo against some big12 goons at work.

If Bama is seeded #1, they will likely play TCU/Baylor then Oregon (who I think will beat FSU).

Saban has struggled in bowl games (OU, Utah) with spread teams, and frankly with spread teams in reg season.

Back to back games of TCU and Oregon will be a true test.
