Week 14: Rank the AAC
Rank 'em 1-11. Next week is the last regular season poll. Then one last poll after the bowl games.

RE: Week 14: Rank the AAC
Not calling out any one poster, because I've seen it a few times over the past weeks, but can someone give me an argument for why UCF is ranked over UC on any body of work argument?
I really did look trying to figure out what people were thinking, and I couldn't come up with anything at all.

Because most rationale people agree that the PSU and UConn losses were flukes and we should very well be sitting at 9-1 right now with a loss only to the SEC East champion.
I get it- a loss is a loss. But we pissed away PSU and UConn vs. being beat.

If "most" agreed then UCF would've been #2 these last few weeks instead of Cincinnati...we'll see how this week goes.

To answer your question from my point of view. I am putting Cincy #2 abonve UCF because Cincy is on a 6 game winning streak and has looked very impressive.
Fluke or not, UCF lost to UConn 3 weeks ago. I can't validate putting them above.
We all lost to good teams out of conference.
We all beat who we were supposed to out of conference.
Memphis conference loss (7-4) Houston.
Cincy Conference loss (9-3) Memphis.
UCF Conference loss (2-9) UConn.
Memphis gets #1 over Cincy due to head to head.
That's my poll and why I have those 1-3.

-Scoring defense. UCF is 6th in the country, Cincinnati is 65th in the country.
-I think a win @Houston is equivalent to one over ECU at home, and I'd take our OOC win of BYU (8-4) over Toledo (8-4).
You can draw up UC advantages, but I think we at least have those two in our favor and I'd take a defensive team over an offensive one any day.

Ok and UCF beat Houston, who beat Memphis.
Which is why not having a title game is stupid. I can make plenty of arguments for why UCF is the best, and you'll counter with whatever you want to.
UCF has played in a title game in 2005, 2007, 2010, and 2012. Memphis and Cincy have never played in one.

Why do I rank UCF ahead of UC? Because I'm a homer...but I will say that I think it's close. UCF has a bad loss at UConn, but UC got humiliated at home by Memphis and the defense couldn't stop a High School team at the beginning of the season.

Uconn game was our 1st aac loss in 2 years. That took a rainy game in 40 degree weather for that to happen. We have simply dominated so far. UConn game was clearly a fluke.
I think the top 4 are all close so it is mostly opinion.

What does 2005, 2007, 2010 and 2012 have to do with this?
Also, Memphis beat UConn who beat UCF..
That **** doesn't matter.
You lost 3 weeks ago to a 2-9 team, get over yourself.. Memphis and Cincy haven't lost for 6 weeks.
The 3 teams at the top are Memphis, Cincy and UCF. When ranking the, 1-3 I showed you my method. It's makes perfect sense based off of what those 3 did.

If not for a fluke loss to UConn, UCF would be 15-0 in AAC play over the past 2 years.
If you can really convince yourself that if we re-played that game tomorrow, UCF would lose again, then please pass whatever you're smoking.
Hence my #1 ranking.

Exactly...and because there is no Championship game, we'll have this argument all off-season long.
Obviously, if ECU wins next week, then UCF drops below them in the rankings.
