Skerry
Give credit to UMBC, they came out with great energy early. It's never easy on the road. Fifth game in nine days. We were running in sand a little bit. I pulled the plug on practice yesterday. We were down a body, AJ was hurt. I don't ever do that. We did what we were supposed to do in the second half.

On Foster
Walter is day to day. Failure to live up to standards. We'll deal with that moving forward.

On TJ
He helped us win 25 games doing that (playing center). I was happy with Morsell defensively. Eddie is helping us down the stretch. He's capable of being really good. We were a little wild early. We got into the paint and took some wild shots. Late we get in the lane, we penetrated, played on two feet and really shared the ball.

On first half
Aki had them ready. It took us awhile to get our legs under us. I'm not a big excuse guy. Alex is a weapon. Four was really good, John fought foul trouble. We're going to be a deep team. It's still early. This is the most excited about any group I've had. The ceiling is really high due to our depth.

On 2nd half
They were terrific early. We didn't turn it over late and we were able to get back in transition. We got back to playing our Towson defense.

We are fourth in the nation in free throw attempts. We have really good passes from the forward spot. We have a lot of guys that can score the ball.

TJ
I just wanted to stay aggressive and bring energy to my team. We were struggling on the defensive end, so my focus was to bring energy to the defensive end.

Skerry
I didn't say much at the half. I told them you guys better figure it out.

TJ
We know that defense is our centerpiece. We knew that going into the half. We gave up 69.5% in the first half. That's unacceptable. So second half we decided to lock down on defense as the offense will come.

TJ on Alex
He can stretch the floor. He's versatile. I love playing him because he'll make a lot of shots and it will open up the floor for a lot of things.

Skerry
We'll take tomorrow off. We'll get back on the floor Monday. We need a break. It's been a grind. SECU will be jumping with our students back. It will be a Super Bowl Game.

Local rivals
We've had some success and people will be revved up for us. We have a bunch of new guys that don't really know about (local stuff). We've been very good on the road the last few years. There's no better feeling than winning on the road. We have a lot of guys like (TJ). It might not always look pretty. Our intent is really good. People have to match our physicality for 40 minutes and that's not easy to do.

Skerry on Hawkins
He's playing better. He made a couple of big shots. It's just a matter of time. He has to be more vocal. He has talent. It's just a matter of time.
