On the pre-game show for today's game against ODU, our President said that FAU athletics will be announcing the biggest gift in school history on Tuesday at 3pm. Speculation is that it will be for either a new football facility or major renovations to the existing Oxley center. So the team had a tough year, but at least good things are on the way.

The best thing for the FAU program would be a season with more than 5 home games.

Rumor has it, the announcement will be a new Athletics academic center, upgrade/expansion of existing athletic center, and renovations to the baseball stadium (loooooong overdue).

FAU's new complex will be called the Schmidt Family Complex for Academic and Athletic Excellence. Initial gift is 16 million.

Congrats FAU. Sounds similar to what we just got. We are putting the finishing touches on ours now.

I wonder if FAU officials toured ours when they played up here earlier in the season.

Hope you guys are able to do it right like we did. Definitely be a big boost to you guys down there.

That is HUGE. Now I hope the basketball arena can be improved soon!

Would have rather seen this money go to building a D1 quality basketball arena. Something like Troy has would be perfect for FAU and that only cost $40 million. This would have gotten FAU a long way towards that.

I know, I just mean I would have rather seen a donation for the basketball arena. You already have above average football facilities and a great climate.
