Don't underestimate the influence of the MAC Office in "facilitating" these bowl match ups and I seriously doubt if the MAC Office appreciates any individual school trying to "interfere" in the process.

I suspect that the MAC Office helped "facilitate" UT right out of a bowl opportunity last year---not that the Rockets actually "deserved" a bowl after that Akron game, but Ohio "deserved" one even less.

Of course bowls are not about rewarding "deserving" teams anyway; they are all about providing ESPN programming and giving the local Chambers of Commerce in the host bowl cities something to thump their chests about.

well then obviously The bowl selection committee last year thought when they said "Ohio" they were getting Ohio State since Brady Hoke couldn't remember the difference either.

Yeah but you have to cut Brady Hoke a little slack because I suspect that he has a lot of worries weighing heavily on his mind at present and may not be thinking all that clearly, if you know what I mean.

yeah, but he made the Ohio comments four years ago when he was 11-1. But, he sure does have a lot to worry about now. Unlike our Rockets bowl bound football squad.
