With this young team, the fun has just started. There will be bumps in the road but it will be so much fun watching them mature under the guidance of a great coach! This was a big win on the road against a very good team. Let's enjoy the ride!

It is a real treat to get to play a power conference team on a neutral court. UVA had four straight wins coming into this game with wins over THE ohio state, Xavier, Radford and Auburn.

Inma was clutch all the way. Funny, but last year against Purdue at home she had a good look at a three to win the game at the buzzer and from our seats it was right on line ---but just a bit short as it hit the front rim----tonight--Swish!---talk about a game of inches. Big win early on has gotta be a real emotional boost and a great confidence builder for a very young team.

In all the Football furor I overlooked this. Great win! That'll really boost our RPI for an at-large bid (c'mon, you know SOMEBODY was gonna say it)!

Inma had a monster game. 24 points and 10 assists. Responsible for about 45 of our points. Good to see her assert herself. Seems like she's been holding back a little and trying to be a facilitator.

With Jay-Ann sidelined Inma played the point a lot last night and it improved the Rocket offensive play all the way round------she had her best game and, as the assists show, she made those around her better as well.

Funny, but with all the preseason concern about the point guard position this year, I don't recall Inma's name coming up much in those conversations, but after last night I suspect we going to see a lot more of her at the point.

If Janice Monakana could just get her shooting straightened out, it would be huge. She has the potential to be unstoppable. Unfortunately, after shooting 28% as a freshman, she's shooting 29% so far this season. Cullop said she has improved, so I'm hoping we'll see improvement.

I was able to listen through the early part of the second half and was feeling that the Rockets were not going to get blown out as they weathered a couple of UVA runs. Getting back and checking the final score I was blown away after double-checking the score. Wow! I would totally enjoy hearing Jim Heller's broadcast of the last minute or so of the game! I don't think RocketVision has replays but it will be worth a check. He must have been in orbit!
