17 points against GT? Damn - that's NC State type ****.

Yeah we play to the competition. If They are bad We're just a little worse lately. We appear to excel at turning ball over.

It's not just that they can't score. They can't protect the rim either. This no longer looks like a 3-4 seed. Lunardi still has both the Cards and the Heels on the four line, but for how long?

I still expect Louisville to pull this one out (it is GT after all). But this isn't helping the eyeball test for the selection committee.

Calculus and basketball do not mix.

Never seen a team so snake bitten as GT this year.

That was a tough win. GT is much better than their record shows.

This Louisville team is a broken toy at the moment. We'll see if Rick has any magic to get this team working together without Jones in the next 10 days but I don't have high hopes. If they don't improve their play from the last two weeks in solid fashion they'll be 1 and done in the NCAA, even if they are playing a lower seed.

Their seeding will depend heavily on their final weeks as the committee could reasonably toss out much of the 20-5 record with Jones in the lineup. They could have a record and RPI that deserves a 5 seed on the surface but end up an 8-9 if they continue to struggle.

PLEASE don't tell me the WF guy is running the seeding AGAIN this year?

Chris Jones officially kicked off the University of Louisville Basketball Team:

Some how I was expecting something like this to happening with all of the disarray with the team the last few weeks . Wish Him luck in His future.

Rumor is Chris Jones might have gone "Ray Rice"....we shall see if this was the case.

from leaking stories, Seems that's becoming closer to what happened at 4th St. Live. Really Stupid thing for any Man to do.03-banghead

Not a single rep from the ACC. Does not bode well for acc bubble teams.

I've heard "good effort" by Gregory so much I'm numb to it. Brian Gregory: 27-1 this year when factoring in "good effort moral victories". 12-16 in the real world.

Losing above and beyond comic levels with the game on the line is symptomatic of one thing: having the right ingredients, but not the right cook in the kitchen. It is really a indictment against the ACC that GT is even that competitive in nearly every game given that they really have no ACC level point guard on the roster. And really zero threat from the 3-point line as well. Gregory has done everything off the court perfect. On the court ... particularly with the game on the line ... it has been disastrous. Gregory was always a hire based more on cost than ability. He was cheap when GT was paying Hewitt's ludicrous buyout. He still is cheap. But the new AD restructured Hewitt's buyout to be less per year but over more time. That is a "clear room in the salary cap" kinda move if I've ever heard one. GT fans all along have had confidence in Bobinski to make the right basketball moves. He did so at Xavier. It is the football program (where he has NO experience) and media relations (Sasquatch immitation ... frequently told of in stories by almost never seen or heard from publicly) where we have our reservations about him. Gregory has been undefeated against the leg humpers though .... so for that service he can serve out this season to its completion. Otherwise I would have said can him already.

I would be stunned if Gregory returns. If he does, it will be purely to serve out his contract ... as I think he only has one year left at this point.

Joe Alleva - Duke
Jane Cone - UNC-system

The ACC has more representation than you think. Not saying that Alleva will screw the SEC, he wont, but Cone, her check is written by the UNC System and she might want a future. 03-shhhh
