Ok, one more time. If UCF and Cincinnati wins, we have a three way tie.

If UCF loses, then Memphis is the AAC champion, cause nobody is going to look past that hideous beat down Memphis put on cinci in cinci.

Of course they can always tell each other they were champs like they tell each other they went 38-2 in basketball in 2008.

41-14 isnt that a palindrome or something

Memphis fans should be happy they will share a conference title, its been what? 50 years or something? Thats alot of garbage to sift through.

You guys might think that stings, but we don't. Someone said we cheated to get there, but the only difference between Memphis then and every other school was the size of our wallet. For us, we were 38-2 and the crushing of Texas, UCLA and Michigan St. is on youtube to be watched over and over again.

As for football, we're pretty thrilled. If you guys have done this before, congrats. If we suck so bad, how come only Houston beat us?

I don't experience schadenfreude for my own conference. The SEC? Sure. But not my own conference. At least, now that loserville is gone. If other schools win championships, congratulations and more power to them. Unless they are playing us, I always cheer for our conference mates.

Pretty much sums it up. I really enjoyed that season and this season.

True, but we all know how that game turned out. I hope Cincy destroys whomever they play in a Bowl game.

Like it? Are you kidding me? We absolutely love being the conference champions. And if others make it through we don't mind sharing it. We absolutely understand it "will officially be co-champ", but we also understand, like the rest of college football, that most conferences, the playoff committee, and the general public value head to head wins when considering a tie breaker.

I traveled to Jonesboro and got to witness this gem from the Larry Porter era. I'll gladly take a shared conference championship.

if the scenario were reversed and we were co champions with cincy and they had beat the snot outa us with a score like 41-14 in a game that was really not that close. i mean if we were co champions with them and they had embarrased us on our home field after being considered preseason favorites with a supposed superhuman notre dame transfer qb and an big money former SEC head coach. if cincy had put a complete beatdown on us and we still claimed to be co champions with them?

can you imagine how hard they would all laugh?

its not hard for me to imagine because i am laughing that hard.

Yeah, Memphis beat Cincy. Beat 'em bad, too. But, like the venerable Paul Brown has observed, when you score, you should act like you've been there before. Memphis hasn't been there before, but for Pete's sake, you could at least try to act like it. Wear your heroism like a hero: no childish trash talk, no spiking of the ball, no dancing, and no histrionics (it's a big word, but you can look it up). Most of all, don't gloat over the injuries you've inflicted on others. That kind of crap can come back to haunt you, and it probably will.
