It just seems backwards to me that we have posters who are hundreds of miles away (who rarely, if ever attend games) lecture us locals about all things Tigers and are treated like they are the greatest fans in the world here. Meanwhile a local fan is directly responsible for 130 tickets being sold to the biggest football game in our program's history and he's not a good enough fan to post here.

Sure, he's been critical of attendance. But he is definitely not the problem and has earned the right to be critical by putting his money where his mouth is.

Seven of the first ten meetings (all but the 1968, 1971, and 1974 games) pitted an Atlantic Coast Conference team against an at-large opponent. From 1993 until 2013, the game has matched a Southeastern Conference team against one from the ACC. In 2005, the bowl hosted its first-ever matchup of top 10 ranked teams.

The game was originally created as a fund-raiser by the Lions Clubs of Georgia in 1968, but after years of lackluster attendance and revenue, the game was taken over by the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.

Wait. So, if Boise gets the spot, they go to the Fiesta, where the payout is $18 million, but if any of the other G-5 confs go, they go to the Peach, where the payout is $3.5 million?

I thought the Peach was a "Major bowl". It is one the "New Year six" as they are called. The Peach, The Fiesta, Orange, Cotton, Rose, and Sugar bowls. I thought ALL NYS bowls payed out the same?
