RE: Detroit Roll Call
Major power outage in Detroit down town. Seems like it should be fixed before Friday. The people mover is part of this outage.

+1
Go back to the old way pre 2003. Does any MAC school have a longer drive to Detroit than NIU? Not counting UMass

Going to Ford Field for the first time with my son. Suggestions for parking? Probably won't roll into town until 4-4:30.

plenty of lots around the stadium, including a garage right across the street (I Believe). If you guys are staying at the Renaissance Center, leave your car there and taking the people mover to the stadium.

People Mover? What is that? A bus or train ? Is it available for return trip to hotel?

Isn't it a decent walk from the People Mover to the stadium? I usually just drive from the Renaissance Center and park.

We took the people mover to Cheli's last year and then after the game pretty much everyone is walking back to the hotel so you likely won't get shot and or stabbed.

And for you first-timers.... Chelis is typically closed after the game.

That's why we go to Greektown and - in last year's case - become more depressed by the night's happenings.

Do you have passes to the NIU alum event?

Do you have to pick up tickets thru NIU?

We are not going to the alum event.

Already order tickets through the Convo, but will pick them up at will call at Ford Field.

There's no good place after a loss.
Except maybe Windsor....

With tickets thru NIU first try to park in the lot just North of the stadium if that is full then the garage to the West North West of Ford Field. The NIU will call gate is on the West North West corner of the stadium and those lots will give you the shortest walk.

When you get your ticket scanned orientate yourself so you remember what gate you entered because at the end of the game the ushers get all pushy with wanting people out the closest exit and if you exit out of the wrong gate it will be a unexpected long cold walk.
