Any other AAC coaches rumored to be moving or fired?
Fuente has done a tremendous job at Memphis, but is not like he just walked in and quickly turn that program around, took him time... Right Memphis fans?!?
Fuente has a good thing going for him, right where he is at, the Nebraska gig could turn out and be a suicide job for him, IMO.
Fuente is being speculated for Nebraska and also for Kansas... I don't think he goes to either, but they will more then likely take a sitting head coach, which will open something else.
I think most of the AAC is safe. Tuberville isnt going anywhere, Oleary looks like hes got one foot in retirement, McNeil hasn't quite accomplished enough yet to move on... and the rest haven't done anything worthy of a promotion.

He may not get the job or want it, but come year two and he wins the AAC again the p5 will come calling again. Not saying he will leave, maybe he is happy to be at Memphis and build a legacy there but the reality of our league is a lot of coaches will use it as a stepping stone to a p5 gig.

Yeah, we all know that but I doubt it this year. Our DC apparently is on the short list for ATM. He was also for Arkansas and most people have him slotted for our HC job if it opens.

Odom is on their second list. They want Muschamp or the Clemson DC first.

Lol, McNeill isn't going anywhere...no matter what he accomplishes. Everyone has their dream job. Ohio St. for Urban, etc. ECU is it for McNeill. He wants to take ECU to the top. That'll never happen...but it is his dream. The University will have to peel him away from the job if he starts to plummet and that will inevitably happen.

Exactly, and beyond that Ruff still has a chance at going 20-6 the last two years and has beat three P5 Bowl teams which is more than most coaches at this level can claim in the last two years. He also beat NC State with Russell Wison and Tulsa in year one that both finished the year in the top 25 as well as Michigan State in a Bowl as the interim of Texas Tech. Quite a few nice wins on his resume at this point to be attractive but it's doubtful teams will even waste their time given what he's said about leaving his almamater. Great for ECU as well.

McNeil isn't going anywhere. He's at his "dream job", and already 56.

Would love to see him stay. Loyalty is such a rare and rather admirable quality in this day and age.
We had that... and Genshaft got rid of him. Leavitt would have never left USF. He was offered higher jobs and never took them.
Glad yall have someone of the quality and character as McNeil.

Taggart could be swooped up
Yes this. *^^^* Then we wouldn't have to pay him and could actually get someone who can coach.

He took the worst program in the country and is 9-3 in his 3rd year. We didn't even have 60 scholarship players when he got here. So, did that take time or was it quick? To me it was so fast as to be almost magic.

Look at their attendance numbers from about 2000-2009. They were just like most of us in the AAC with a 30K+/- average. One or two good coaching hires and they go from CUSA to where they are now. It can be done.
