What an embarrassing loss, 6 turnovers?!?!? we we're not prepared and to get shut out in the 2nd half was hard to watch. Carey and his staff completely out coached us. Credit has to go to Carey and NIU. Can't believe we lost to one of the WORST QB in conference history.

There are worse QBs than Hare. He's not glamorous or flashy, but he runs an offense that if you don't run them out of the stadium early, it can burn clock and beat you at the end.

Stop the unforced turnovers, go up 28 early, and cruise to a win. It was all there for the taking.

Embarrassing is giving a safety and watching the opposing team run back the ensuing kick for a game winning TD.....or giving up back to back onside kicks in a bowl game.

It was Embarrassing. 6 (or 7?) turnovers. So many in our dominating 1st half we failed to stack up a big lead. Going for it on that 4th and one and not going for a FG.

Was embarrassing to Perform like that. It'd be one thing if NIU's O was there the 1st half *and* we didn't turn the ball over so much and we lost by 3.

The loss was embarrassing the way they quit. I hope they learn from that. Even last years crew never gave up in a game.

I agree on the 4th and 1. Should have kicked that and went up two TDs. We lost a ton of momentum on that play. Franklin was not 100% either. If you're going to go for it ,run a play action or something.

That not kicking was a turning point. NIU seemed to feed off of that decision, came right back to make it 21-17 and a ballgame.

That's a hind sight is 20/20 thing. He had two downs to get a yard. You have to like those odds even against a bunch defense.

agreed, we lost all the momentum after that. We kick it and it's tied and we have the ball with 3 minutes left. Changes the game

I disagree, and was frustrated when we lined up to go for it. If Franklin is healthy, then sure, but he struggled the entire game. Not to mention last week.

I would've liked the odds out of a power run formation especially.

I will admit I was glad to see us be aggressive and go for it, but in hindsight I was dead wrong

No idea why we did not go for the field goal, which would have given us a 2 TD lead in the 3rd. More surprising is how conservative the WMU play calling became after that possession.

Just a very uncharacteristic 2nd half for this years team. In the end, NIU deserved the win.
