Why waste your breath? The ones who want Josh gone can't grasp using a screwdriver to put a basketball goal up much less the reasons why the money might not be there to buy him out. Oh, one other thing. Don't ever embarrass them with the fact that they won't help buy him out. That gets you called names and labeled not a hardcore fan.
Wow, unable to use a screwdriver? Damn.
The financial issue has been addressed by myself and others. All the Mensa candidates clamoring for Pastner's dismissal 4 games into the season are not thinking it through.
Basically, the final numbers come to about $23-25mm to pay off Pastner through 2019 and hire the next coach to a similar four year deal. Since the same deep pocket donors also cover Fuente, I include about $8mm for his new deal that is certainly on the immediate horizon.
Thus, my estimated total outlay to cover ALL of these coaching salaries is approximately $33mm.
A lot of posters are quick to spend other folks' money to effect the changes the posters deem necessary (but can't or won't contribute to).
I personally think Pastner can go to the NIT this year and be back next year. But the big boosters will make that decision after the season is completed.
Time will tell, folks. Let's see how the season plays out.
Your numbers on the "buyout" are wrong if you claim it to be any more than $7.95 million.
I keep forgetting you're a lawyer, so I suspect you're right and everyone else is wrong, LOL.
Can you fill me in on how I can fly down to the Miami Beach Bowl for three days for $350 and NOT sleep in my rental or camp out on the beach? Much obliged, Atticus.
Maybe he should write a novel about it

Calling people with differing opinions "miserables". Can I call you or anyone who doesn't see how awful Pastner is and how every day we keep him is ruining our program names too? Some of us are better people, I guess.
Also, the answer to your questions have ben explored and legitimately answered numerous times. But, I guess there are those who just want to keep their heads firmly buried in the sand.

I'm sure you are all buddy buddy with all these folks doe. You always have all the answers.
What's with all your "doe, doe, doe" responses? They make about as much sense as the rest of your posts.
Are you going to the football game tomorrow? Come to F199 and I will explain the whole "doe"'phenomenon
Wish I could. Have made it to Austin Peay, MTSU, Tulsa and USF, but cannot make it to Memphis tomorrow. Regret that I can't be there to send these seniors off. Bless them for staying the course and setting new standards for the younger players.
Guess I'll take a rain check on the "doe" explanation.

The flights are all between $550-$650 if you want to go to Miami. For $350, they drop you off in Gainesville and you have to hitchhike to Miami. Also, you mentioned a rental car. That is a big no no, as those things cost money. Eating also costs extra, so you would need to find a soup kitchen for all your meals.
If you can accomplish all that, begging for free tickets at the gate should be a piece of cake.
Don't take my word for it. Saluki said it is $350 all in for the trip so it must be true. He would NEVER leave out important information. His entire life is a giant quest for truth.

I'm assuming regardless of games one will need to buy a ticket. Also in new Orleans or Shreveport one will need to spend at least one night, maybe two for hotels. For one person the cost of flight over gas is the difference.
Carry on.

IF you really want him gone and have a brain, you know he is not going to fired anytime soon.. So ..
there are only two ways for him to go, Ill give you a hint:
Chenoa Douglass and Herb Sendek ...
You are going to have to find Josh in a compromising position or have him bolt for a lateral position or slightly down .. which one do you think is more likely?

Shreveport is 700 miles round trip. Let's say you go nuts and drive 50 miles touring the greater Shreveport area. That puts you at around 750 miles. What does gas cost in Memphis; around $2.40 a gallon? That would put you at $90 for two people round trip.
The cheapest flight on Expedia right now is $505. I'm guessing that according to Saluki logic, the flights will be les expensive by the time we know we're going to Miami; correct? And while we're at it, how about pulling up a link showing this mythical $350 flight you have been talking about.
I guess we can also assume that hotels and food in Miami cost exactly the same as hotels and food in Shreveport and rental cars are free in Miami. I appreciate the fact that your life mission is the quest for truth. Enlighten us.
