We are not very good right now, but we have played decent in stretches.
The season could go either way at this point. We could struggle all year or we could come together and become a solid defensive team with a lot of interchangeable parts. We don't have a single guy who can offensively take over at any time, and that is really hurting us since we are not quite gelled early in the year. We will have to operate as the "open man is the go to guy", which is what Pastner likes to do anyway. You could see they were trying harder to move the ball and find the open man against baylor, but its still a bit rough.
We've lead the nation in assists and been in the top 5 there most of the last 3-4 years. It is vital that this team gets it assists up a lot of we are going to be an effective offense.
I think this could be a better defensive team than last year, but we are not even close yet. The raw talent is there though, and I think we will see it as the year goes on.

I think we make the NIT - not the NCAA's.
Its hard to argue otherwise at this moment.
But its not even December, so there is that.

I've seen so many but ugly starts to a season over the last 30 years here that I never get too worked up until Jan.
This is one of the ugliest, but we do have a chitload of new players who haven't practiced together enough.
Hard not to be pissed and seriously concerned right now though. This is not good.
