Other BB TG Weekend
KU beat Rhode Island. Reischel came off the bench to score 6 in 9 minutes of playing time.

Ennis was his teams leading scorer in Villanova's victory over Michigan earlier in the week.
It's still amazing to me Ennis logged fewer minutes than Jackson and Frizzelle while here.

Ennis got plenty of PT - he was a true freshman. Playing time wasn't why he left - he just wanted a bigger program and the fact that he is now Villanova's starting shooting guard (not point guard which is a bit of a surprise) is proof that he probably was justified for leaving. Nice kid - don't blame him one bit for leaving as we had zero support that year for a really good team.

Sorry, but I will rebut this every time you post it.
1. We weren't really good. I would say decent or average. We were 19-16 overall. We were 4-4 in conference home games in a two bid league. We were 0-4 against teams that went to the NCAA tournament
If that is your definition of really good, how would you describe 25-9, finishing 2nd in CUSA and winning the CUSA tournament?
2. I think it is a leap to blame Braun's player retention challenges on attendance. we had crappy attendance in old Autry during the WTW years, but Willis had more rotation players transfer in than out. There are scores of teams in the country that don't draw worth beans and manage to have more than 3 upperclassmen on scholarship at any one time.
I only went to 1 or 2 games the year that Ennis was here. I'm not going to don a hair shirt for his leaving.

RE: Other BB TG Weekend
The team with Ennis as a fresh and arsalan as a jr was a decent to above average team. Having missed only 1-2 games that year, I believe that there were a bunch of factors contributing to the mass exodus. I do believe that attendance, though minor compared to the whole Marcos/RG issues, was one. There was a major Saturday non-tv game towards the end of the season that was scheduled at 2pm (a Braun idiocy that hurt student/local fans attendance) and I will never forget the look on the team's faces when they came out right before the tip. There might have been 300 fans and15 students. As they did the layup drill, they looked around in disbelief. I am sure all of you will be shocked to hear, as I recall, there was no marketing whatsoever.

Ibrahim's handler was banging the attendance woe as early as the Padre Tourney when he saw how many fans Northern Iowa and Iowa State brought on TG weekend. It just went downhill from there.
