and yet you're fine with first round exits in the tourney.. who cares where, when or against who- we're there. Been a long time coming.
Link to where I said that?
I said I'm fine with 24-25 wins and advancing in the NCAA tourney...the last two years Pastner is 55-15, 2-2 in the NCAAs.
As for the Bowl:
Hold it in B'ham, 10k+ Tiger fans
Hold it in Miami, 1k Tiger fans
JP has never made it out of the first weekend of the tourney- so, I'm not sure what you mean by "advancing." And this year, imo JP will not hit 20 wins. He lost 10 games last year with "his" class of seniors + Dixon, this year will be worse.
nope. You said, and I quote: "first round exits"
Pastner's squads made the NCAA Thrid Round the last 2 years, along with a 55-15 record.
facts.
And he amassed 31 of those wins in a conference that was ranked 13th (rpi), in the country. Barely ahead of the Horizon league and below powerhouse conferences like the Mid American and the Missouri Valley.
Doesn't take much to please you- I, for one would like to watch Memphis play in the second round, but it won't happen with JP as coach.
Third round, Haha that's funny considering we didn't play the first round and got embarrassed in both the "third" round games.
Do you not see how unprepared and undisciplined his teams are? Cal turned boys into men, who refused to lose, JP coaches boys.

Third round. Nice try. The only human on earth that actually considers the NEW first round as the first round.
We made the SECOND round twice and got humiliated. Not even competitive, game over by halftime blowouts with senior laden 4 and 5 star teams.

You honestly don't even take a second to think about what comes out of you. You will say absolutely ANYTHING to fit the narrative. I'll give you credit for being entertaining.

Please stop referring to the round of 32 as "the thrid round". It's disingenuous, even if technically correct.
The NCAA tourney is owned by the NCAA, if that's what they wish to call it, so be it...it IS the NCAA Third Round.

Twenty some odd wins against CUSA doesn't impress anyone. When it matters we get creamed. We beat St.Marys and George Washington by like five points total (whatever the hell it was) in two years. Two nobodies. That's who we are now. Far cry from a national championship game.
You go running around every fan base boasting about how great we are. Are you not embarrassed. When's the last time you did that. You have no ammo left. Am I right?

Odd for a Memphis fan to note a bad loss with the fan of another school language like humiliate or middle school or all of that garbage.
While he is annoying, I n the case of Michigan State, it was close at the half...and it was also in reach with about four minutes left, so he was right. Then, MSU made all the free throws and we stopped and the final was atrocious. We were a few more points then nine behind around the four minute mark...and as we know, teams lose nine point leads.
We DO recognize that the team has been beaten badly a few more times than we would like. Want to use that to foster this style of over the top anger...feel free. But it seems disproportionate and a laser like focus on the worst things...making you forget anything good.
Which again, in no way means I do not recognize we had a few too many poor performances and I am certainly not pleased with that. Just not F bomb angry on a Memphis message board.
I use the F bomb to a guy who constantly insults everyone he posts to. He's a sniper looking to attack. Saluki can't post the most mundane anything without him attacking. Somebody needs to step up to this bully.
He makes an idiotic comment to me about what the ACTUAL halftime score was like it made any sense. He actually indicted the coach by illustrating that it was actually close at halftime, until a good coach got a chance to make adjustments to make us look like chumps. Made our coach who made no adjustments (or really bad ones) look like a chump.
Sorry for the F Bomb but F him.
