winning the games we need to win.

when nation and mclean get back, we'll have a good 10 man rotation. i feel pretty optimistic about this team.

Victory 77 - 71 but we need to spend some time at the line.

Colgate is a very fundamentally sound and good shooting team. I guess we're playing zone until we have a full 9 or 10 man rotation back, but sheesh it's bad. Our man defense looks good but we don't have enough depth to play that for an entire game yet. Hopefully it's in the works. Either that, or the 3-2 has to be reworked.

Either way, another clutch win by these guys. When we get everyone back, if we can stay out of trouble and healthy, we will be a force in the CAA.

Colgate was tougher than I expected...fundamentally sound and can shoot it as was mentioned. They lost at LaSalle by only five.

They also lost by about six at Cornell, who beat another A10 team in Mason.

Yeah, a couple of the guys really lack the discipline to play good zone. The effort is there though - hopefully that will pay off when we can press more and play more man.

At the moment, Mason isn't in the A10. They are in the play in section of the A-10, 11 to 14. They have already lost to Cornell and College of Charleston, so either they're afraid of schools that begin with C or they are destined to finish in the play in section of the A-10.

Congrays on your win.

I didn't want to start a new tread, but Wood was on the radio yesterday talking about ODU's MBB schedule going forward and how he would like JMU to the annual list of instate schools we play. Wonder if it will happens.

I hope so. I miss hating ODU. Good luck with your season.

Even though JB has stated that he wouldn't pursue such a game, I think if MB were to be contacted, that it would happen. Heck, a couple seasons ago, we had a home and home within the same season with Miami of Ohio. That was an odd deal.

According Sagarin JMU’s strength of schedule of our 31 games is 335. That means that there are only 15 Division 1 teams that play a weaker schedule. I would love to have ODU back on our schedule. In fact, I would jump for joy to see George Mason and VCU back in the convo.
