When speaking to the crowd during the trophy presentation, Fuente got a little choked up talking about the focus and effort this team consistently put into game preparation each week. I think the magnitude and kick @ss AWESOMENESS of what he had done hit him as he spoke. Bowen and Dr. Rudd were up on the stage as well.

Winning a football championship is a major big deal. Even that solid 2004 DeAngolo, Wimprine, and Means team couldn't do it. It's been a 43 year wait.

I'm fairly sure Fuente will be pursued by other schools. I hope the school and major boosters make it a priority to keep this individual as football coach.

I might be celebrating this victory all night long. I expected the stomp of uconn and winning a share of the conference championship, but it was so much fun watching OUR team and fans celebrate. I'm still fired up.

As far as the crowd goes, it seemed to be slightly larger than the last home game. While there were a lot of casual fans leaving (starting midway in the 3rd quarter), there was still a good amount of hardcore tiger fans there to celebrate the trophy presentation. So if 35k was there, i'd say about 20k stayed until the end. It's a start. Those who stayed witnessed something special. A good time was had by all. I will remember this night forever.

Congrats again to the tiger football team.
