Up until that letter, nobody much had said anything besides Clark and Haase. This letter is a hand grenade into the president's office. Time will tell if it opens the floodgates.

Womens sports more impacted by the potential loss of football?

I guess without football forcing TitleIX women's sports, programs will probably forced out. Perhaps they fear that football will topple all athletics at UAB if it is removed.

Football money puts the most money in the coffers of anyone's athletic program. It would be a huge financial cut.

That's it.

With the loss of football, every other athletic team is vulnerable, particularly the women's teams, with the loss of Title IX protection.

Getting kicked out of CUSA would just be the first domino in the cascade of destruction.

I posted this to let our conference mates know that those that love UAB and its sports teams are not going gentle into that good night.
