I always compare shooters with Matt Mouzy
The thing that made him successful was his amazingly quick release. I notice that we have some good shooters who can shoot as accurately as Matt did, but they can't get their shots off near as quickly, therefore they don't get to take as many shots. Given enough time, Ben Dillard and James Reid are really good, but they take just a little more time to get their shots off, and they don't create their own shots so they won't make as many three's as a Mouzy. Probably the quickest release on the team, or at least the one best at creating his own shot is Josh Hagins.

Since our offense doesn't seem to screen well for our shooters, it helps if a player can create his own shot. But Josh isn't playing premium minutes right now. I don't think a three point shooter will be leading our team in scoring this season. James W. and Roger W. will probably do most of our scoring, with maybe J.T. pitching in. James R. and Ben will be threats on the outside, but I can't see them taking enough three's to score a huge amount. I would doubt any of our players will make more than three three's in a game on a consistent basis. Not our style.04-cheers
