Tag Ms. Jenkins, Ms. Brennan and any other significant female sportswriters/champions of women's sports on twitter, see if we can catch their attention. The attack on football is also an attack on the future of women's sports and opportunity at UAB.
For what it's worth, Cal St. Fullerton nor Pacific dropped any women's teams when they dropped football.

Yes, but leaving conference USA is going to hurt.

I can't wait until we make a bowl game and the ESPN announcers keep bringing up how poorly managed the BOT and president are.

We will see.

I would think so. That's why I think we need to tone it down a notch when it comes to him and turn it up to blazing heat on Dr. Watts.

Until Mackin says something, he gets any heat that is given to him. No excuse now.
I've heard enough from people close to the situation to know Mackin isn't guiltless in this. But I'll agree that Watts is the one with the true power to turn.

I feel like Watts can still get out of this and save face...Mackin is done. Start asking yourselves why Mackin doesn't care about his salary if these changes take place and the Athletics department is gutted as a result.

I thought about that a long time ago – and don't like what I've been thinking.

Brian is getting $312k for managing 17 sports. Perhaps the new president will point out that after all the cuts, he will only be managing 10, and therefore should only be getting paid for managing 10, say $180k or so, and BTW, 2/3 of your staff is gone too.

This whole mess is chaos in action.

These BOT (bleepers) have really opened "Pandora's Box" one time too many now.

Incredible. THIS IS LEADERSHIP!

THIS! Is sheer courage and conviction, something sorely and clearly lacking in the President's and AD's offices...If one goes down, they all go down...If the football team goes, I'm done, too...Wish I could share this link on Facebook, it keeps buffering on me.

Fire Brian Mackin (who wants to launch that one?)

Oh, it's coming after this, you can bet on it.

Prepare for the A-Sun and subpar mediocrity unless you go on a FGCU like run in the NCAA. *shutters* coming from an ETSU fan.
