Immediately upon exiting the vehicle and after the subject on the video appears to lift his shirt. Per published reports he drew the airsoft gun.

As for zero credibility I never had any with you. You hate law enforcement so your automatic response is to place total blame upon them based upon a 1 minute video that shows 50 feet of the entire scene and contains no audio. You assume there was no command to raise his hands. You assume that despite the fact that all the disadvantages and risks that doing so would present to their safety that the officers bum-rushed the deceased with their vehicle. You reached your conclusion based upon a 1 minute video and your assumptions because that fits your cop hating agenda.

People like you who hate law enforcement so much should be able to opt out of their protection. You should be able to sign a waiver that says "I do not like law enforcement and I hereby renounce any obligation that they have to protect me." They should be able to flag your address, tag number, and name in their computer systems so that if they are requested to respond they can legally decline. House gets robbed? Tough. Get mugged? No our problem. Have a wreck and need a report? Sucks to be you. One of your precious snowflakes pulls a knife on you? Hug it out I guess. Sadly you are like the little lamb in the pasture "BAHHHH"ing away your hatred of the sheep dog but able to sleep soundly at night knowing that the sheep dog is out there keeping the wolves from eating you alive. Hypocrites like you don't deserve it, but thankfully there are people far better than you will ever be that are willing to protect even the most ungrateful and undeserving like you.

No the published reports say the gun was in his waist band. It was never drawn. This cop hating mantra is the sign of a desperate man losing an argument.

That video will show that this was FAR from an appropriate response. The facts will come out. Just look up "Felony take down procedures".

Quote:Deputy police chief Ed Tomba said one of the two officers involved shot the boy after he pulled the gun from the waistband of his trousers.
Try to read something besides your typical leftist drivel.

Yet again, procedures are great and probably 90 times out of 100 they work. However there is that 10% where the procedures do not work because due to conditions they do not apply. IMO this is within that 10% because I feel when the full story comes out the officers are going to have encountered the deceased far soon than they anticipated doing so based upon the information at hand. I do not believe that the actual approach was an intentional takedown, rather it was winging it when Mr. Murphy and his damnable law imposes itself upon a situation. It's like one of my old Battalion Chiefs said one time when questioned about deviating from policy on a structure fire "We were following policy up until the point where the fire stopped following it."

But again, and at risk of offending the sensitive lady parts of our self-appointed board content monitor, I am not the expert like obviously you are.

Any clue as to this might be a suicide by police ? it's a known fact that 12 year old's get bullied and commit suicide on a weekly basis in America. He just seemed too calm, like He was waiting at the table for police to arrive and then make His last move. Still blame the dispatcher on this one for lack of information. also on the audio tape on the TV, it was saying Black male in His mid 20's on either a 911 call or a dispatched run audio. Just Bizzare

I do think the militarization of our police forces is a dangerous and frightening trend, that needs to be reeled in but fast.

I know I've told this story before, but the whitebread suburb I live near has a tank now. I asked a member of their force, "Why do you have a tank?"

He said, "It was free! Military surplus! Cool, huh?"

That's great, but why do you have it?

"Well, uh, er, um. It's free!"

RE: Video of the 12 year old that was shot in Cleveland.
The thing I ask myself were the cops there to keep law and order or to take down the person. If I were to make an arrest I would've stopped a block away or driven very slowly to get a feel for the scene. You know,[/align]make sure there wasn't anyone in the immediate area that could get hurt, that it was indeed a thug with a gun or just some stupid kid playing with a toy. Would've taken about 5 seconds and probably less.
If I wanted to take down the person I wouldn't have slowed down and just gotten as close to the person as I could and tackle the person before he can react or if the person had anything remotely resembling a weapon then go wild west on him.

What I hate is the training that these cops receive. This was probably a textbook example on how cops deal with circumstances like this and it needs to stop. Cops should be respected, but they should never be feared. Even had the boy lived it just would've been another example of why some people hate police.

It's easy to be an armchair quarterback. What some people forget is that the policy and procedures of these cops, are in place for a reason. The policy and procedures were written because something happened in the past. These cops are there to serve and protect, but they also need to protect themselves. They are trained to be proactive instead of reactive.

Now, I am just here waiting for someone to claim that it was first degree murder...

RE: Video of the 12 year old that was shot in Cleveland.
i hate to be that guy, and i could probably be way off base, but i put part of the blame on rap music. i wouldn't suggest that it be called hip hop, even though i haven't listened to a new rap album in about a decade. i am projecting in this situation, though it doesn't have to be necessarily this particular situation since it does occur, frequently, and more often than not this doesn't happen and kids run with guns.

we all looked up to famous people growing up. i never considered my father a role model, outstanding as he was. i respected him, but didn't idolize him the way i did albert belle or david robinson or teddy roosevelt. i'm not saying that there is a definite correlation between rap music and the violence in black youth, but what i am saying is that perhaps these budding superstar rappers, amidst all this chaos that they chose their words more wisely. yes, do tell your stories of the times where you needed or wielded guns, but tell them as a cautionary tale. basically, "do everything that i haven't. if you're looking up to me, respect where i am, not the path that i took." but most likely it's exaggerated braggadocio, which is a problem.

i haven't listened to a new rap album in about a decade but i know what the music today consists of because i made a mixtape of some of favorite hip hop songs for a black kid i worked with and he looked at me after he listened to it and said, "man, that's not the sh!t that i'm into!" then he laughed. good kid, but one of those black kids that had a work demeanor and a play demeanor, two different vernaculars, he said so himself. but man was that a good mix. lost boyz, pharcyde, outkast, gangstarr... i was trying to educate him because i assumed he listened to crap. the last time i saw him i was at red light in the summer and this car pulled up next to me with loud rap music and he honked his horn. i turned and saw a black dude with a fro yelling at me. that typically doesn't happen to me so i was a little on edge thinking that i pissed him off. but then i recognized him and laughed and said what's up

sorry about the length

Cleveland News station just reported the officer shouted. DROP YOUR WEAPON! That's why the kid reached into his waist band and grabbed the weapon. TO DROP IT!! It never got out of his waist. This will all come out in print and I will post it as soon as I can.

Not hold up your hands. DROP YOUR WEAPON!!!

Kaplony

"Don't grab for a weapon and you in all likelihood aren't going to get shot."

Even when your commanded to? This will all come out. I was searching for "Drop Your Weapon" and Tamir shooting and all I am picking up is left wing sites. When I get a MSM article I'll post it. This will come out.

So much for assumptions.............

The best I can find. The Inquisitor?

http://www.inquisitr.com/1638888/tamir-r...p-toy-gun/

The officers stated that they shouted at him several times to drop the weapon, which later proved to be an airsoft toy gun.

That's what he was doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The kid literally had milliseconds to comply. Was complying and he's FATALLY shot!!!!!!!!!!!

He probably charged at the officer and committed some other crime that the officers weren't aware of earlier.

That's why he lifted his shirt. He was showing it to them and then tried to comply with their orders. He was doing exactly what they instructed. I want to hear if Kaplony has changed his tune with the newest revelations.

The video is choppy and I'm curious how many seconds elapse from each screen. If the media can do anything productive, please find how many seconds elapse from each screen

After these new revelations do you have anything you would like to change on what you wrote above?

Should Tamir have used his Jedi mind trick on the police officers? How else was he supposed to drop his weapon Kaplony?

It seems like an accident to me.

The officer has no business on the street though.

He should have used the force like Luke Skywalker. He was commanded three times to drop the weapon. Kaplony needs to set you straight. Why do you hate cops?
