Butler just took out UNC.

Creighton rallied to take out a good Oklahoma team.

Nova just beat VCU and Michigan in back to back games.

The only team that looks sluggish out of the gate is Marquette. There is a lot of hoops yet to be played, but the early signs are all good.

Same story, different year. And then they will all flame out in the various tourneys, unable to get out of the first weekend.

St. John's is down 9 at the half to Minnesota. This second half will be a good litmus test. They're a senior team, so it's now or never for Lavin. I don't think he makes it past this year.

I HATE UNC, but I still say that they are one of the best teams in the nation. They just aren't that tough.

I recall a year where UNC was blown out by 12-17 WCC foe Santa Clara but still wound up cutting the nets down. Hell, Yukon lost to us on New Year's Eve last year yet still cut down the nets.
