Al Golden's record is eerily similar to the one that Randy Shannon had and Randy was fired after only 4 seasons.

Randy Shannon didnt take over a team that had NCAA sanctioning looming over its head. Golden did. For that reason alone, he will get a short term pass. Coker won more than both of these guys, as well as a national championship, and was still let go after one season with less than 9 wins.

Absolutely, And this is why Golden gets a pass, for now.

As long as he doesn't go 2-10 or some garbage like that one season, he will be there several more years.
