How does the WKU defeat of Marshall today affect the C-USA bowl calculus?

It means all 6 win teams will have to pray for open slots. 7+ win teams have filled all of C-USA's contractually obligated bowls.

Plus many 6 win $EC teams coming into the picture late & the entire $EC West looks like it might be bowl eligible & I'm sure those 6 win teams will be taken over any G5 6 win teams

Well, that doesn't sound like good news...

RE: FN Bowl Watch - Rivalry Week Edition
So who do we want to win in the UTEP-MTSU game? I know whoever wins gets 7 wins and the loser will be 6-6. I'm leaning toward going for UTEP considering they lead the conference in attendance (I believe). So I feel as if a bowl would invite them before us if they lost. I know we lost to MTSU, but our attendance is better (last time I heard).

I think we want UTEP to win. They'd be a more attractive at large selection than MT.

I agree with you. I like our chances of being selected a lot better against a 6-6 Middle Tennessee than a 6-6 UTEP.

I think it's likely UTEP ends up in New Mexico Bowl & WKU in Boca or Bahamas
