Marshall fans keep saying that but I really don't think any other team that ends up in a New Year's Six Bowl wouldn't go undefeated with Marshall's schedule.

The question isn't whether any other team would go undefeated. Just whether any other G5 champion team would. If history is any guide, every one of them, having to deal with the unrelenting pressure of being undefeated, would struggle in November.

I'm sorry but this is BS.

The reason teams struggle in November is because that's when you get to your rivalry games and teams who were not as good earlier in the season have a lot more experience. It's also when key players are out for injury.

Marshall has no real rivals in CUSA.
Marshall has no major injuries as far as I have heard.
CUSA is just as bad now as it was earlier in the year. No one has significantly improved except for La Tech.

Even before a game was played this season EVERYONE said Marshall would have to go undefeated to get respect. Go back and even look at posts from Marshall fans they were confident that they would go undefeated because their team has now weaknesses according to them.

There is just no defending losing to one of the only two teams they have played with a pulse.

Our 1600 yd rusher was injured early in the game. Later in the season people have seen you play and can see your weaknesses, too. That's why Alabama has struggled the past few weeks (even early against WCU), FSU against weaker teams, Baylor and TCU, Michigan played OSU tight... It's hard to win ball games.

You edited your post to say all Marshall fans said we have no weaknesses. I've never said that. We're good. Very good. But every team has weaknesses. I've never said we didn't. Any Marshall fan that did was drinking some pretty spiked kool aid.

You never said that I bet you $50,000 it will only take me 1 minute at least one Marshall fan saying that. And another saying something similar.

The search button is very useful.

Also even if your top RB went down you still had another 700 rusher in the game. And ran for quote "24 CAR, 233 YDS, 2 TD" on a terrible defense.

Injury is not the reason Marshall lost.

Finish reading my post. I know some did. I said they drank some heavily spiked kool aid. I think we're very good. I think we could have gone undefeated. We should have gone undefeated. But there are a few areas on this team that could use work. There are holes.

I read it I'm not saying you said it. I was saying many Marshall fans were in agreement that going undefeated was the only way you would make it into the access bowl. And many Marshall fans believed that you would go undefeated.

Can you disagree with that?

Everyone in the country also thought you would go undefeated and you did not. So no point in deviating any further from this point.

We should have gone undefeated. Our schedule was bad. We (probably) had to go undefeated to get a NYD bowl, and even then Boise would have likely gotten it over us. If Boise loses, NIU loses, we beat LaTech by 56, and 9 committee members have a stroke between now and this time next Sunday, there's still only about a .08% chance that we get in over an AAC school with 1 loss. I would have admitted as much in August.

Yeah, it would be ignorant to say every single Marshall fan in the world was saying that. Every single fan base in the world has it's super homers.

And just so you know I actually agree with you that if Boise and NIU lose then it will be between 1 loss Marshall and 3 loss Memphis. That's honestly a toss up in my opinion and all we know right now is that Memphis has already won a share of the AAC. So they are absolutely in position should Boise fall.

If Marshall beats La Tech by 56 then you guys will get more brownie points. I don't see you guys beating them by 56 though....I think you will win but a touchdown may be more accurate.
