Agreed. Without those open 3's we gave up due to our lack of rotational/help defense, this isn't even much of a game right now.
Encouraging to see Clark be more assertive too.

Rath, you have always had a refreshingly honest assessments of Mick's teams.....

Does this not strike you as particularly pathetic offensive team, even for Mick's standards?

I live out of town so I can't catch as many games as I used too, but watching that first half made my head hurt.

This team lacks an identity. They don't play great defense. They most certainly don't play sound offensively. Three games vs. cupcakes and this team is 315th and 233rd in the country in scoring per game and field goal percentage respectively. That is absolutely pathetic.

I know a lot of year left but at what point this year do we say Shaq is a bust? At what point does Mick admit it and drastically reduce his minutes, role, and expectations for him on the team?

Hey Shaq, that little square above the backboard with the red numbers counting down, don't feed a guy in the corner with 2 on it. I'm sure you'll catch on your Sr. year.

If this keeps up with Shaq, he needs to be shown the door at the end of the year.

RE: UC vs NC Central
so Sanders lets it hit him in the legs and roll all the way to the other side of the court and he half heartedly runs after it?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? That would have found him the end of the bench the rest of the night if a former coach was still here.

With the comments on here, you'd think we were losing by 20 to Mt. St. Joe

RE: UC vs NC Central
The offense might be ugly but by god that Cronin can dress...didn't know this game featured 2 top 10 best dressed coaches...

http://espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketbal...ed-coaches

"Cronin doesn’t like to talk about his suit guy. But the fact that he has a suit guy means that Cronin deserves consideration for this list. His refusal to follow the status quo -- sort of like college basketball’s Nicola Formichetti -- magnifies his courageous stand in the face of the haters who question his flashiness."

Xavier would beat this team by 15-20 right now. That's the harsh reality. UC looks AWFUL.

XU would take that ball and shove it up our buts with a candle on it. What that means exactly I have no idea, but it's what they would do.

Couple things I keep seeing....we are living on junk around the rim and 3 balls. No screens, very few set plays and we are throwing the ball around the perimeter most possessions way too deep. We are regularly passing the ball around up top 30+feet from rim. Makes no sense and accomplishes nothing.

Running no plays for guys in paint. Poor Gary just slides from block to block like it is 7th grade CYO ball looking to cherry pick a bad shot for a rebound.

Zone defenses all seem way quicker than our offensive players, too. Lot of these guys sure seem very defended way too often.
