TV
Per mattarzsports for 2014

29 ABC, ESPN, 2, and U (28 min)
15 CBSSN (15 max)
14 NEWS
58 national

1 SNY UCONN
11 ESPN3
12 regional/3

80% conference controlled national broadcasts

Most appearances

ESPN UCF 3 games
ESPN2 Cincinatti 3 or 4 depending on 12/6 game, UCF 3 games
ESPNU ECU 5 games
NEWS Temple 4 games
CBSSN SMU 6 games
ESPN3 Houston 3 times/ SMU, UCONN and Cincinatti 0 games/ 2 conference games
SNY UCONN 1

Quickly looking at other G5 national exposure, the AAC looks to be in good shape. ESPN picked up more than required while CBSSN selected the max allowable. CBSSN left one game on the table for MWC and ESPN could have taken 4 more had they desired. FOX picked up the min. requirement for CUSA while shifting 3 games (10%) from FX1 to FSN/FCS compared to the previous year. CBSSN didn't list a min. and picked up 7 games. Looks like ESPN picked up more than the required min. for MAC and SBC games as well. Of course, this assumes my Excel formulas were correct in the wee hours of the morning. 03-drunk (not drunk, just sleep deprived).

I'm fine with that, but if you're going to go full, you better have it right, or else it just annoys the crap out of all of us.

RE: TV
Interesting data gulfcoastgal

Of our 58 nationally televised games, 39 were on Saturday and 19 were on weeknights. Anyone remember that thread on the CUSA board when the initial ESPN schedule only showed 2 Saturday games?

Tidbits...

* 83% of AAC hosted games were nationally televised and 75% of those were on the ESPN family of networks
* Stony Brook @ UConn was the only AAC hosted game to be regionally televised
* Tulsa @ Houston and Tulane @ ECU were the only ESPN3 exclusive conference games

Comparing us to the other G5 conferences there is a huge gap in coverage. The AAC only had 12 regional/internet only games and the majority of those were vs FCS opponents. The MWC and CUSA had 30-40 regional/internet games and most of their national broadcasts were on CBS-SN, FS1, or an FCS network. The MAC and SBC combined for 5 nationally televised Saturday games for the entire year, a handful of midweek games, and like a million ESPN3 exclusives
