I'm tellin ya, there sure is alot of smoke about this lately. Memphis and cincy are no brainier adds if they have to get to 12 members.

the reasons listed for both Cincy and Memphis make a lot of sense....Orlando would be too much of an outlier geographically

The reason why attendance is the huge issue it is right now. This, the attendance problem and the Big 12, was discussed by Calkins and Parrish a week ago.

I think the entry into SEC territory is the biggest positive for the Big XII

That's #1 imo. Followed by well-known corporate support and Top 50 TV market. Sweet spot geographically as well.

I've been thinking the same thing. Seems to be more talk on local radio about it in the past few weeks

If there was a list of issues; attendance would be way at the bottom of the list, almost to the point of it being a non issue.

Our average attendance is approx. 33,600 per game.

Recruiting good players and TV market are the life blood of conferences. Memphis has both. A region that produces lots of quality FBS players and a top 10 ESPN market for college sports.

Someone needs to email this guy to inform him of the Tiger football program being champions of the American Conference after this coming week end.

You would think, but with Memphis fans it's hard to be sure, that attendance number would explode if we would be playing a Big XII schedule.
