Who will be Florida's new head coach?
Has anyone heard any thing about who University of Florida's new head football coach will be?
I found this article which names a top 5:
http://wallstcheatsheet.com/sports/top-5...?a=viewall
Art Briles
Hugh Freeze
Dan Mullen
Steve Spurrier
Bob Stoops
I don't think this is a realistic list. Art Briles could've had the Texas job, Spurrier is about to retire and Bob Stoops has repeatedly turned down Florida.
Also Dabo Sweeney was mentioned in other articles.
Has anyone heard who Florida is going after?

I heard Gundy was in the mix. Apparently Mullen has some bad blood with the UF admin.

I think Gundy is going to be the answer.

I just don't think Briles will leave his beloved state of Texas and he's paid well and taken care of there. Hugh Freeze's dream job is Ole Miss. There's no reason for Stoops to start all over again in what is essentially a national power school anyhow. Spurrier will retire from coaching before he goes anywhere else. Mullen maybe, but he's paid well, in the sec, and has a fan base that's patient bc they're not accustomed to the type of success Florida has seen.

It won't be Gundy, briles, stoops, Kelly, harbaugh, spurrier, Patterson, swinney, Mullen. Freeze or mcelwain seem most likely. Them or some nfl assistant.

Interesting...that would lead to Dan Quinn...the Former Florida DC in 2012 and the current Seattle Seahawks DC of the Legion of Boom..the current World Champions...

According to 247 sports ( LNIK) Gundy is pursuing the Florida job. Seems odd since he is currently at his Alma Mater. I'm wondering if this is a ploy to get more money out of OSU??

I don't really expect many nfl coordinators to give the job much thought. Especially since Quinn already left uf for the nfl, what'd stop him from doing it again a year or two after taking the uf job?

Long time uf beat writer said Gundy won't be the coach. At least as reputable/authoritative as a recruiting site.

Laugh now, but if Bama wins a title while he's there, Kiffin will get another HC job at a P5 school.

This
Even if they just hang around in contention over the next few years he will get another big job.

Not so crazy to believe that Spurrier might give 2 years to UF to "right the ship", and groom a successor.
What about Butch Davis? He had success in the sunshine state.
And Todd Graham? He's been willing to move around.
